Liz & Nick Sleepy Creek Wedding
I first met Liz and Nick a year ago along with Liz’s mom, Ruth, at Cafe Kopi. Probably three of the nicest people I will ever meet! They described what they had planned for Liz and Nick’s big day in October 2020 and even one year out pretty much had the day planned- down to every little detail. Fast forward to wedding week when I show up to pick up their items beforehand. They have probably 6 tubs all labeled with everything in each. I mean you can’t get more organized than this! As you’ll see from the pictures the venue looked STUNNING and it was really fun to see everything come to life during set up. Liz, Nick, and Ruth were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out.
The day started out like a perfect Fall day- cool, crisp air with the sun shining. Sadly it started raining soon after the ceremony and most of the family pictures were planned to be outside at the vineyard. Liz sure didn’t care about the light sprinkling and so pictures still happened outside! When she came in she was fairly wet but her adorable hair lends itself to just a little fluffing and away she went. Any other bride would have said no way but a little rain didn’t scare Liz away! I typically want to be friends with all my clients because they are all just simply amazing and I can definitely say the same about Liz! :)

During the ceremony, the bride and groom read a beautiful excerpt that was actually read at the groom’s parent’s wedding. Throughout the wedding weekend there were so many elements like this incorporated into Liz and Nick’s own wedding day. The church, St. Matthew, is where the bride’s parents were married! So special!
