Jill contacted me wondering if I could help with her daughter’s baby shower. She works and lives remotely (but is from CU). Her daughter and son-in-law (the parents-to-be) live here in town so she wanted to host the shower at Silvercreek in Urbana. Jill was extremely busy with work along with renovations on their condo. She was feeling overwhelmed with also trying to plan a dream shower. I was SO happy she reached out.

The baby is a girl and her name is Emmy Lou but they didn’t want the decor to be over-the-top pink/sparkly/etc. It was also going to be a couple’s shower (LOVE) so we wanted the men in attendance to feel included.

The greenhouse at Silvercreek is a DREAM. Such beautiful garden vibes which I decided to run with.

Andrea at CU Flower House has these amazing backdrop rentals and I knew this was definitely something to include. Additionally, Kristine with Flowers by Kristine just launched her brand new lounge furniture rental company called Lounge Rentals by Kristine. I knew we had to incorporate the cream loveseat with the backdrop.

Lounge set ups and photo ops are really popular right now. Balloons are such a fun element to any party but I wanted something different and I’m really pleased with how this turned out. Jill was too (obviously the most important part!!).

Jill wanted lots of beautiful flowers on the tables too so Andrea created these gorgeous centerpieces in the color palette. The wicker chargers from Herriott’s really played into the garden theme and of course, we had to have individual mini honey & dippers from The Farmstand Barn for each guest.

Jill also wanted me to nail down the party’s timeline and come up with games to be played. She wanted games that were fun for both men and women (again, since it was a couple’s shower) and games that were unique. We landed on trivia (as her daughter and son-in-law love to play trivia), “Don’t Say Baby” diaper pin game, and another game where each team creates a playlist with as many baby related songs as they can think of. Prizes for the winners were mason jar mixers from Yellow & Co in Mahomet.

I personally wasn’t able to be at the baby shower (I actually had a baby shower of my own at the same time!) so my teammate Kylie was there for day-of execution.

Jill was SO happy with how everything turned out- it was a huge success!
