Karli & Brian Trailside Event Center Wedding

I knew every time I met with Karli and Brian I would be laughing with them about something. They were hilarious and always had a funny story to share from their week!

Karli and Brian hired me before they had started planning so together we researched and toured numerous venues. They landed at Trailside Event Center in Peoria, IL, so it was fun to be back in my “old stomping grounds”. (I previously worked for an event planning company based in Peoria.)

They primarily hired me to help keep them on track during the planning process, but also to help with their budget. They didn’t want to spend a fortune on their wedding day so they needed help navigating that. Most of my couples don’t know what to expect for the financial investment of their wedding. If you’ve never planned a wedding or event before how would you know?!

Karli didn’t want the main-stream wedding vibe and colors so she opted for a darker and moody monochromatic color palette with accents of gold. She really wanted to incorporate candelabras and lanterns! I was ALL for this fun and unique theme!

While getting her nails done the week of her wedding the nail tech asked if she was SURE she wanted black tips to which Karli happily replied, “My wedding planner told me to go for it if it’s what I want…so YES!”
