Miranda and Austin were such a fun couple to work with! They were so sweet to one another and had such a unique spunk to their relationship. I loved how they embodied their personalities in their wedding day look and were so creative with the decor.
I first met Miranda and Austin at their venue Carmon’s. 618 Events has had a partnership with Carmon’s in the past, and I was lucky enough to be the wedding coordinator assigned to them. We met about a year and a half prior to their wedding day to make a face-to-face connection. I instantly knew that I was going to love working with them. They were so kind and very excited about their future together.
Miranda and I stayed in touch and I answered any questions that she might have had. It is so great getting to be an easy resource for our clients when they need it. I met with Miranda and Austin again to create a floorplan, and timeline and record all of their vendor information. This is where I learned that they had planned to have a disco-themed wedding. I was absolutely thrilled to hear this. HOW FUN! I was so excited to witness their vision come to life.
Miranda was able to set up all day Friday prior to the rehearsal with her friends and family. When I arrived at the rehearsal, I was amazed at how wonderful the venue looked. They had disco balls and glitter everywhere! I have done countless weddings at Carmon’s, and it was so fun to see the space in such a fun way. Their rehearsal was short and sweet and went great as always. Miranda chose to have her uncle marry her and Austin, which was a sweet, personal touch.
Following the rehearsal, Carmon’s hosted them for their rehearsal dinner. The couple has chose a vegan lifestyle, so they had friends and family create their rehearsal dinner meal. They said it is often times difficult to find people who can prepare vegan food. After dinner, they all headed back to the Hyatt hotel and prepared for the big day.
The wedding day was such a special time for the couple and their family. Miranda arrived at Carmon’s with her bridesmaids in the morning to begin the getting ready process. Carmon’s has two great spaces for both sides of the bridal party to prepare for the day. The ladies all had a wonderful morning celebrating Miranda and her dream wedding day. She had such a great group of friends surrounding her and supporting her.
Austin and his groomsmen came around lunchtime to begin their preparation. They also had a great time together leading up to the ceremony. It was evident that they all felt comfortable, and were able to just relax together and enjoy the day. Miranda got into her STUNNING dress and the photographer did a mini photoshoot of her. She looked so beautiful and ready to see Austin for the first on their wedding day. Miranda chose to do a quick reveal to her bridesmaids and then headed down to the ceremony spot to do a first look.
The couple shared their first look together and embraced the moment. They were so sweet and tender to one another. It was a gorgeous day outside, so they were able to take lots of photos in the sunshine. Following the photos, it was time for the ceremony. They had a beautiful ceremony and had lots of family members involved in different ways. As I mentioned, her uncle married them and she also had her brother do a reading for the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the guests headed over to cocktail hour. Carmon’s has such a large space that the room can really be almost divided into separate areas. Pan and Cake had passed apps and specialty drinks during cocktail hour. The guests loved having a quick bite before beginning the rest of the wedding festivities. Miranda and Austin finished family photos and then headed back up to the getting-ready rooms to have a breather. I took up a tray of appetizers for them and their bridal party to enjoy. It is great that we can be of assistance in even small ways like this.
Now, it’s time to get the party started. The bridal party was introduced, and then Miranda and Austin had their first grand entrance as a married couple!!! They went right into cutting their gorgeous cake and then dinner was served. Although they had a difficult time finding a caterer that can make vegan food. Pan and Cake did an incredible job! They created a vegan slider bar where all of the sliders were a take on typical ones. For example, they had a buffalo chickpea slider which was a take on buffalo chicken. I loved that all of the guests fully embraced the menu and enjoyed the meal.
The maid of honor and best man gave a heartfelt toast, and then Miranda did a flower toss to all the single ladies! The couple shared their first dance and their love radiated across the room. Miranda danced with her dad, and then Austin and his mom did a fun dance to get things started. Everyone had a great time and danced the night away under the disco balls.
I am so happy that Miranda and Austin allowed me to be a part of their big day and celebrate them! I appreciated their attention to detail and how they embrace their true selves. They were such a sweet couple and I wish them endless love and happiness.
