Alyanna and Jan’s Wedding was such an amazing day! The weather could not have been more perfect and everything went so smoothly.

Alyanna and Jan are some of the sweetest, most genuine people that I have ever met. It was such an honor getting to be a part of their day and celebrate their love with them!

Friday began the wedding weekend festivities. They had their rehearsal at St. Patrick’s Church and it was so fun to see everyone reunite. Most of their family and friends were from all over the world. This was a very special weekend as most of them will not see each other for a long while. The couple looked so happy to be gathered around by so much support! I love that as their wedding coordinator I am able to help with the rehearsal too so they can enjoy being with all their people and not worry about the details such as the rehearsal.

After the rehearsal, they all headed to their rehearsal dinner. After that, Alyanna went to Pear Tree Estate to have an overnight stay with her girls at Pear Tree’s Concord Room. This is the getting ready house that you are able to book for overnights.

Saturday morning was such a special time for Alyanna and her entourage. They all had so much fun getting ready together and it was such a sweet time for them to all spend together. Alyanna had her mother help her get into her dress and my goodness was it STUNNING! She was such a breathtaking bride and was able to really take a moment to get her dress, shoes, and veil on with her mom. It is so important to leave time for this and not have to rush through these special moments.

After she was ready, she did a first look with all of her bridesmaids. They were all so stunned by her beauty and so happy for her. Alyanna had such a great group of friends and family encouraging her thoughout the day. Her first look with her dad was such a sweet moment for them to share. And finally she was able to surprise Jan with how gorgeous she looked! They were so happy to see each other and truly cherished this moment together. Caitlin and Luke were the photographers that day and did an AMAZING job. They helped guide the couple and were so good at getting the perfect poses! It’s important to have a photographer you feel comfortable in front of. It’s also really nice to have a professional that knows what to look for and how to pose you as it can be intimidating.

The bridal party was able to get all of their photos done before the ceremony and they also took immediate family photos at this time. Once photos were all wrapped up, they hopped in their limo to go to the ceremony. This was such a special ceremony that they were able to share with all of their loved ones. Extended family photos were taken at the altar following the ceremony. However, not only family photos were taken. A picture of EVERYONE was taken! What a special memory to have. Alyanna and Jan will forever be able to remember every individual that came to celebrate their big day! We highly recommend working this into your day of wedding timeline.

Everyone made their way back to Pear Tree for cocktail hour on the back patio. The weather was so perfect for an August day. Lining the bridal party up along with the 12 sponsor couples (more on this below) was quite the challenge, but we made it and everyone had so much fun getting introduced! LA Gourmet served a delicious family style meal and everyone was enjoying the joyous atmosphere. The couple cut their cake and then went to have their first dance. This dance was AMAZING. It was a choreographed dance to a mashup of songs and the guests were here for it! What a fun way to start off your married life. And the best part, Alyanna and Jan were killing it on the dance floor. Jan shared a special dance with his mother. Then, again, Alyanna and her father came out with another choreographed dance! And they were also killing it on the dance floor. This was such a fun addition to the wedding and allowed the couple's personality to shine through.

Once dancing started we snuck away with their bridal party to do a mock sparkler send off. This is a great idea so that your photographers don’t have to stay until the end of the night. This way you still get those awesome pictures but you don’t completely clear the dance floor either! Your DJ will thank you.

Throughout the reception, they had a photo booth available for guests to have their picture taken. This is always such a popular part of weddings and I would highly recommend it! The DJ had the dance floor bumpin’ all night with the best songs to keep the party going. Everyone seemed to have such a great time and loved being there!

One of my favorite things about this wedding was the support that they had from so many friends and family. In their Filipino tradition, every bride and groom have sponsors who are a part of their wedding day. These are people that mean a lot to them and have helped take care of them in various ways. I love that this allows so many people to gather around them and begin their marriage with such a support system. Truly an amazing tradition.

I am so glad that I was able to be a part of Alyanna and Jan’s wedding and got to know both of them. They are such a sweet couple and I wish many years of happiness for them. Cheers to them!
