I met Melanie back in 2018 when we worked together for an event at UIUC. We immediately clicked and I loved working with another planner from a different department at Illinois. She mentioned then that she was engaged and would love to hire me. I of course was ecstatic!

Unfortunately, as the story goes, her dream wedding day has had to change with COVID, however we both agreed she got an event better outcome. Her and Matt originally wanted to have their wedding and reception at The Venue CU, but at the time it didn’t work out. They had to switch venues due to COVID and ended up being able to book everything at The Venue CU!

I was hired to help with set up and tear down only, so it was really fun to see her vision come to life in this beautiful space!
